Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-03-05 • readable, minimum-necessary approach.
Privacy philosophy: we collect the minimum needed to operate the directory, keep it secure,
and use it only for platform functionality and safety.
1) What we collect
- Account data: username, email, password hash (never your plain password).
- Public activity: comments you post and maker fields you choose to publish.
- Safety signals: rate-limit counters, report submissions, moderation flags.
- Technical logs: basic server logs (IP, user agent, request timing) for reliability and abuse prevention.
2) What we do not collect
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not run ad networks or data-broker tracking.
- We do not store payment information (we don’t process payments).
- We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.
3) Cookies and sessions
We use cookies mainly for login sessions and security controls.
Example cookie: PHPSESSID.
4) How we use data
- Provide core features: login, directory browsing, likes, comments, maker pages.
- Protect the platform: prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent activity.
- Maintain reliability: debugging errors and monitoring performance.
5) Public vs private information
Maker listings and discovery fields are public. Comments are public.
Your email is not shown publicly unless you publish it as part of a maker listing field.
6) Sharing of information
We share data only when required to operate the service (hosting providers) or when legally required.
We do not share data for advertising.
7) Data retention
- Server logs are retained for a limited period for security/reliability.
- Comments and public maker content may remain unless removed for policy reasons.
- We may keep audit/moderation records to enforce safety and prevent repeated abuse.
8) Your choices
- You can browse publicly without an account.
- You can request account-related help by contacting support.
- If you believe information is incorrect, report it and we’ll review.
9) Security
We implement controls like password hashing, CSRF protection, and rate limiting.
No system is perfect, but safety is a core requirement.
